What Datashop is

Datashop helps you understand the value of your data and exercise your GDPR rights. We compute and display a personal Data Value using signals found in your own emails (for example, receipts, payouts, subscriptions), and give you tools to export, secure, or delete your information. Our service is designed to be transparent, secure, and compliant with data protection regulations.

Connecting Gmail is optional and happens only when you choose.

Third-party services & processors

Some features interact with third-party services (e.g., Google APIs). Our processing follows these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

  • Hosting & infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, Supabase) operate the service.
  • Optional AI (off by default): short, redacted snippets (typically ≤ ~1,500 chars) may be sent to a trusted AI processor (e.g., Google Gemini API or Microsoft Azure OpenAI) strictly to detect signals for your Data Value. Providers do not train foundation models on your content under their terms.
  • We keep an up-to-date vendor list at /en/sub-processors.

Gmail-sourced/derived data remains purpose-limited as described in Section 4.

8

Datashop is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
  • our total liability is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid to us in the last 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable consumer law.

10

Termination

You may stop using Datashop at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk to the service, or where required by law. On termination, we delete stored derived data in line with our Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will continue to apply.

11

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an effective date. If changes are material, we may also notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use Datashop after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
